About Gala Barkingside

Gala Bingo Barkingside has more than just Bingo on offer, it also has good value food and drinks, great service, exciting promotions, specials, and events, plus a taste of history all rolled into one.

The club is located in an old cinema which opened in 1938, was bombed during the war, then became a base for the War Office. In 1947 it returned to its cinematic ways, and despite many facelifts and owners, it carried on operating until 1984 – it has been a Bingo hall ever since.

Barkingside, in the London Borough of Redbridge, north-east London, was historically part of Essex and is famous for the children’s charity Barnardo’s being founded there in 1866. The charity’s headquarters are still there, as is the original Barnardo’s chapel.

Meanwhile, back to the present – Gala Bingo Barkingside provides disabled facilities and parking for up to 60, the club is close to public transport with numerous bus routes nearby, and it’s situated between Fairlop and Barkingside tube stations.
