About Mecca Burnt Oak

Mecca Bingo Burnt Oak is located on the main Broadway of the north London borough of Barnet, it has seating for 800, parking for 15, and disabled facilities are available. There is also a bar and diner serving good value meals, electronic bingo terminals, and the venue is well served by bus routes 142, 32, and 292.

The club is situated in the premises of the old Savoy Cinema, which opened in 1936, and was styled in the Art Deco style of the era – much of which is still evident today. The cinema closed in 1962, and was converted into a Bingo hall.

The area simply got its name from a burnt oak tree that was in a local field, and the town is best well known for being the home of Tesco (the supermarket chain), where the first store opened in 1929.
